Trains are my main passion, but I have always had a soft spot for the Bus. Like the trains, they are not so interesting nowadays.

Western National Double Decker's are a distant memory in my home village of Buckland Monachorum. a 1991 view of the school bus passing the local pub. which in those days you could enjoy a smoke in, before the passing of these evil and unecesary anti smoking laws. The Pub still recommended.

Pure nostalgia the old Fort William Station - now demolished and replaced by the new by-pass- as a Highland Omnibus Coach drifts towards the level crossing, as does D5396+D5395 on a special from Plymouth. 28-04-73. With much tooting of various horns, both drivers came to an abrupt halt.

Plymouth Route 27 was a casualty of this horrid European Union we should get out of at once. The route was deemed too long under EU regulations for a Stage Carriage Route, what a load of nonsense. In more sensible times, the special Plymouth Corporation Livery for the 1977 Jubilee celebrations seen in North Road West

The scene at Peverell Corner is remarkably unchanged, doubt if you could stand here now mind to take a phot with all the traffic. The OCO series like OCO 506 seen here were rare performers on the 36 and 37 circular routes. Summer 1970

A view from the Civic Centre in Plymouth looking up Royal Parade taken by my late Father, Mr. W.A. Mills in April 1964. Regretably the public not allowed on the roof nowadays, due to condition of the Civic Centre and no doubt piles of Health & Safety Rules and Regulations. Also, the roof deck had to be closed off due to the number of people jumping off it for all the wroung reasons.

No 63 again on the Minehead Charter surmounting the top of Haldon Hill near Exeter on the A38. Note the lack of growth and traffic. Imagine parking up today on the verge and running into the middle of the road to photograph the Bus.
