Western Region Maroon at its best as 1069 pauses with a Penzance-Paddington express one hot July day in 1966. The reason for signals on each platform in the Up Direction was to allow local trains from Plymouth to arrive and depart from the down platform, Station Staff would call out "other side" when applicable, the 0720 departure into Plymouth was one regular user of this facility.
